Peyton has become quite fond of Dora the Explorer in recent weeks. Whenever we go to turn a video on for the girls and the screen turns blue, she starts singing the Dora theme song. It sounds something like, "Da Da Da Daoa!" No matter what she is in the middle of doing when she hears the song they sing at the end, she runs in front of the TV and dances around. It cracks me up every time.
A few weeks ago when we were driving out to Orlando, Chris hooked up the video screens for the girls. The were watching an episode of Dora in which she asks the kids to say "abre" to help one of her Spanish speaking friends open a door. (Abre means open in Spanish for anyone who needed clarification.) From the backseat came clear as day "Abre!" Only it wasn't Emily, it was Peyton's little voice. Chris and I both looked at each other and just laughed.
Fast forward to today. The girls and I were playing on the floor before lunch time. Peyton comes over carrying our case with all our DVD's in it, drops it in my lap and says, "Abre!" I just looked at her in shock, she picked the case back up, pushed it towards my face this time and repeated, "Abre!"
These girls never cease to amaze me!!!
