Father's Day Weekend Recap

What a weekend we had! Unfortunately, I kept forgetting to bring my camera, so we'll just have to tell you about all the fun we had!

On Friday Chris's cousins Liz and Peter flew in from New York to spend the weekend with us. The girls were both excited to get to spend some time with Lizzie and Pete! We went to Nana's house on Friday night for a yummy dinner and to play some Wii. Emily has become quite the Wii bowler, the best part is her reaction to knocking down pins whether it be 1 or 10 she does the cutest little dance. After a fun night with the family we headed home to get some rest before heading to the beach in the morning.

Unfortunately the morning brought and ear infection and some other yuck for Liz, who ended up at the walk in clinic. She and Amy stayed home from the beach to rest, but the rest of us headed down to Coquina and enjoyed an afternoon in the sun. The girls LOVED the beach. Emily spent most of her time collecting seashells with Peter while Peyton sat and let the waves lap over her legs.

After the beach we went back to Nana's for some delicious Mexican food prepared by Amy and supervised by Liz. Dinner was followed by some more Wii action and dancing by Emily!

Sunday we woke up and headed over to Nana's for Father's Day breakfast and to say bye to Liz and Peter. We then headed to St. Pete to spend some time with my dad. We went to the beach at Treasure Island where we left the girls with my dad and Linda while Chris and I went out on a wave runner for an hour compliments of my dad for Chris for Father's Day. We say a school of sting rays while we were out, which was very cool. The gulf was really choppy on Sunday, so after getting tossed around for an hour we were happy to be back on dry land. Chris and I headed back to the beach and hung out for about an hour before heading back to my dad's place for pizza and ice cream.

By the time we packed up and headed out the girls were exhausted. The didn't even make it 5 minutes on the ride home before they were asleep. We didn't see their beautiful eyes again until Monday morning!

What a great weekend, full of family and fun!
