HAPPY 2ND BIRTHDAY PEYTON!!

On Sunday we celebrated Peyton's 2nd Birthday and today I took her to the doctor for her 2 year well check. The look on Dr. Silva's face when she walked in the door expressed how I've been feeling the past few days. Her mouth dropped open wide and she looked at me and said, "There is now way Peyton is 2 already!" Where has the time gone? It seems like we were just celebrating her first birthday!

Peyton is now 26.5 pounds and 34 inches tall. That's a far cry from the 7 pounds 9 ounces and 19 3/4 inches she entered the world in. She has grown and changed so much in the last year. Our baby has quickly turned into a toddler and is well on her way to becoming a little girl as she pushes all the "baby" things away and opts to do things more like her big sister.

We spent the weekend in Orlando at Sea World celebrating with the girls. I'll post pictures of that later. (Chris took 775 pictures in just 2 days, it's a lot to go through.) I did want to take a minute to post a few of the things Peyton does and says right now that I want to remember.

Peyton has a HUGE personality and she never leaves you questioning where you stand with her. If she is happy she is all laughs and hugs, if she is angry watch out because she may bore a hole through you with her glare.

Peyton is a little monkey, constantly climbing on things and people.

Peyton brings her "mankie" (aka blankie) with her everywhere. Sleep is impossible withouth "mankie"

Peyton now sleeps in a BIG girl bed and is getting much better about not getting up at all hours of the night.

Peyton loves to hunt the elusive monkey-weasel while swimming in the pool. We have been singing All Around the Mulberry Bush while swimming and she would request it again and again saying, "More Monkey-Weasel." Recently it was taken a step further in a moment of desperation to calm her down. We now look for the monkey-weasel in all kinds of drains, he always gets away though!

Peyton LOVES to eat rice. It is one of the few things she doesn't turn away. I think she survives solely on rice, oatmeal, bananas and cereal bars.

Peyton has the sweetest way of telling us she "wuvs" us and you can always tell it is directly from her heart.

Peyton ADORES her big sister, Emily, and it brings joy to my heart to watch the friendship develop between these two sisters.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY SWEET PEYTON!!
