Our little Peyton turned 1 on July 12th. It's hard to believe a whole year has passed already!
We had a very busy day on Saturday filled with LOTS of partying. In the morning we had a baby shower for Misi. It was so fun to celebrate motherhood with her and we are now all anxiously awaiting little Cayden's arrival!
Gee (Misi's Mom), Misi and Mimi (Josh's Mom)
After the shower Mom Mom came over to our house to open presents with Peyton. (She had a 3rd party to attend after Peyton's.) It was fun to watch Peyton get her first taste of opening presents. Although she was definitely more interested in the paper than the presents.
Opening her Noah's Ark Ride On from Mom Mom before her party.
We then all loaded up into the cars to head over to Gymboree where we were met by friends and family to celebrate Peyton's birthday. It was a great party and all the kids had a blast, especially Peyton once we figured out she didn't like the socks on her feet. She didn't stop running around once she was bare foot and she had the biggest smile on her face the whole time. That is until we brought out the smash cake which she wanted nothing to do with!
Climbing up the slide at Gymboree
A ride around the room for the birthday girl.
Happy Birthday to Peyton!
Cake?
No Thanks!
"I'm outta here!"
We headed back to our place for a little more partying. We got pizza for dinner and the family came over to watch Peyton open her presents. Peyton was exhausted by the time we got home, but perked right up by the time everyone got there. Of course Emily was Peyton's helper in opening presents, Emily opened the gifts and Peyton tried to eat the paper!
So tired after her party. But, there are still presents to open!
A little help from Emily.
Thanks for all the great stuff everyone!
It was a great day celebrating 2 people we love very much!
