This weekend the girls and I went to Philadelphia to celebrate my nephew's 6th birthday. It was a surprise trip, because as of Monday night we weren't going. Chris found a great deal on tickets for us and decided to let us get away for the weekend while he was hosting the All County Concerts at his school.
We had so much fun just hanging out and letting the kids play. Will is majorly into Star Wars and recruited everyone he could to have a light saber battle with him. At one point the girls were dressed up as fairies and he convinced them to be "evil" fairies so the could battle with the light sabers. Emily and Eliza spent the weekend dressed up in princess costumes, having tea parties and taking care of their baby dolls. Peyton did her best to keep up with the bigger girls who often got upset when she messed their things up.
Will had an indoor swim/ Star Wars party at the YMCA which was so much fun. When we were setting up the party room Emily asked me why they hadn't brought the pool in yet. Indoor swimming was a new experience for that Florida girl.
After the party we had dinner with my Grandma and enjoyed a good visit with her.
Needless to say by the time we boarded the plane on Monday afternoon the girls were exhausted! They both slept the whole way home! We, especially me, were also thankful to have Mom Mom traveling with us. What a great weekend surprise!
