Where's Will?

On Thursday morning we departed Tampa, FL for our journey north to South Bend, IN for Beth's cousins wedding at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at Notre Dame University. We arrived Friday evening and enjoyed a delicious family dinner where we were reunited with Beth's brother's family who had driven out from Philadelphia.

The ceremony was at 11 AM on Saturday morning. After the wedding the guests were asked to wait outside of the Basilica so a group photo could be taken in front of the famous administration building on the campus with the golden dome. There was a nice quad area between the Basilica and the administration building where the adults stood talking while Will, Eliza and Emily had fun running around as we waited for the picture.

Will walked up to a group of us adults and we noticed he was a little disheveled. We asked him what had happened and he informed us that he had to go pee, so he just went behind that tree over there, as if there was nothing wrong with what he had done.

We all couldn't help but laugh as Eden explained to him that there is a time and place for peeing outside behind a tree, but that place is not the lawn of Notre Dame University.

Will has forever left his mark there and I know this will be a story our family tells for years to come. Who knows it may even be told at his wedding!
