O' Christmas Tree

Yesterday was Emily's Christmas Party at Preschool. The high school kids have mid-terms next week, so this was their last day before the holidays.

She came home with all kinds of treats including: candy, candy canes, a gingerbread house, a cupcake, a gingerbread man cookie and this Christmas tree.

She has been dying to have one of her special treats which I have been putting off as long as possible. So, this afternoon when Peyton went down for her nap I let Emily indulge in her Christmas tree. As you can see, she is thoroughly enjoyed her creation.

And for anyone wondering how to create such a yummy masterpiece of their own. All you need is: an upside down ice cream cone as the tree (the pointy kind, obviously), green icing to make it green and keep the decorations stuck on, rope licorice as garland, M&M's as decorations, and a marshmallow star as the tree topper. VOILA! A fun craft and yummy treat for all the kiddos (or kiddos at heart) in your home!

Thanks to the teachers at Emily's Preschool for the fun idea and sugar high!
